City of College Station.For this internship, I worked under the Parks and Recreation Department. Within that department, I was under Athletics. Below is an overview of the Parks Department in College Station.

Facilities Under Parks and RecreationThe City of College Station is home to 58 parks and 1373.35 acres of parks. They also boast 12 ponds, seven pavilions, three swimming pools, and 127 Athletic fields. the Parks department also has control over two recreational centers and two cemeteries.

Types of Programs OfferedPrograms for all ages are offered from the city. From youth to adult to senior citizen, they cover all the bases. Various sports are offered for all ages. The Lick Creek Nature Center offers different adult and youth programs that allow people to learn about the outdoors. They also host a variety of special events. Movies in the park, Food Truck Friday, concerts, and many more like these are put on for residents of College Station.
